In the Teams section of the Staff App, you can organize your supporters into teams based on common interest or geographic location. You can automatically assign supporters to their local geographic team as they join your cause. Supporters can also self-organize into their own interest teams.

Supporters can collectively self-organize in Interest Based Groups. These groups are founded on shared characteristics, professions, hobbies or other general interests. For example, "Teachers for Sonny Perdue" or "Proud Fishermen of America". Both supporters and staff users can create Interest Groups.
Geographic Teams allow your supporters to organize based on their shared geographic location at the county or state level. You can easily create new Geographic Teams in the Staff App. There are both sub-level and top-level teams within the Geographic Teams. This models the internal organization of many 
Explore your teams and groups to see how supporters organize themselves and which teams and groups have the most members. Unlike Interest Groups where both staff users and general supporters can create new groups, only your staff can organize Geographic Teams. To create a new Geographic Team or Interest Group, simply click on the New Interest Group button or the New Geographic Team button from the respective page.
