Ask supporters to Recruit Friends and grow your base. Supporters can tap into their Facebook friends, Gmail contacts, Yahoo Mail address book, and more.
Ask supporters to Recruit Friends
Note: If you haven’t already done so, you must first install the Action Plugin and then setup at least one Kit.
We also recommend exploring the various widgets and APIs that can be used to integrate this Action into the rest of your online and offline tools.
Mobilize It
To mobilize the Recruit Friends action:
- Click the "Mobilize" button from any location within the Staff App.
- Select who you want to complete this Action by segment or individual supporters.
- Personalize the body of the message that your supporters will receive.
- Select the Action "Recruit Friends"
- Select your Action Kit which you previously created
- Set the number of friends that you would like for your supporters to recruit.
- Click mobilize.
Install It
To install this action:
- Go to the Platform Config section and select Action Plugins.
- In the top left corner select the "Install/Uninstall Plugins" button.
- Simply click "Install" to load this Action into your Wildfire Platform.
Next Step: Once your Recruit Friends Action is installed, you'll want to setup one or more Kits.
Set Up the Kits
To set up this Action Kit:
- Go to the Platform Config section and select Action Kits.
- Select "New Action Kit" for the Recruit Friends action.
- Give the kit a title -- this is the message your supporters will see. For example, "Recruit 10 Friends to Join Arcticause!".
- Edit the purpose. Here you can describe why it is important and why supporters should recruit their friends.
- Set an individual goal. You will ask each supporter to recruit this number of friends.
- Set an overall goal: the total number of recruits you want to result from this Action.
- Optional: Set a time frame for this kit to be active.
